Marketing Internship
(Remote - Based in Eastern Time Zone)
All internships require a 12 month commitment. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
We are seeking a people-centered marketing intern who has a creative mind to help our firm’s brand stay fresh and reach our desired audience.
Roles
-
Collaborate with company President and other team members to lead brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns and execute marketing plans for projects

Help gather, analyze, and present brand and competitor insights, data, and trends

Help to set goals and assess and report performance of marketing campaigns against goals
-
Support the development and execution of effective marketing materials and media promotions, developing scopes of work, timelines, and deliverables
Skills and Qualifications

Experience with marketing content development (e.g. promotional materials, social media), website design, and educational and training materials

Proven success in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work effectively individually and collaboratively with a team

Exceptional oral and written communication skills and presentation ability

Strong capacity for managing multiple tasks

Organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Intercultural competence in diverse, international settings

Ability to work proactively and see projects through to successful completion

Internship Projects May Include:
-
Developing digital marketing campaigns and event promotions via email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube

Developing communications materials such as newsletters, articles, campaigns, press releases, public service announcements, presentations, and other relevant materials
-
Strategizing and updating website information architecture

Helping to lead brand strategy and promotions brainstorming sessions

Developing educational and training materials
-
Assisting with consulting engagements, workshops, courses, and other capacity-strengthening services

Researching and blogging about various topics related to global public health, human rights, global competence, equity, diversity, inclusion, social impact, and related topics

Important Notes

This internship is a volunteer, unpaid engagement. Interns gain valuable professional skills and experience, mentoring, and global networking, as well as course credit if needed.

Anticipate a range of 5-15 hours of work per week, including some weekend hours; hours are variable and depend on current and upcoming projects.

Work location is flexible. The firm and its schedule operate out of Durham, NC, USA in the Eastern time zone.
